  1. Denise, you're awesome! Seriously..making me laugh. I too would have freaked out about the spider, but I had to laugh when you said a mouse almost killed you. Like I said, you're awesome & I love reading your blog!

  2. Are you living in an episode of Wild Kingdom? I've never heard of so many critters in one household's life! I'd definitely move!

  3. Snakes... why did it have to be snakes?? I cringe at the thought!! You can't trust a creature that slithers! Happy Mother's Day!

  4. I am assuming by your precise post that the rattlesnake was killed and the gopher snake wasn't?

That's a good thing..Gopher snakes (aka Bull Snakes) do a tremendous job of eating rats and mice and all sorts of little vermin.

Unfotunately, they are big and snakey and for the Denise Jones that I know, are probably a little scary.

We need a photo of the snake!!

  6. okay I grew up in the desert. I saw - on our property - rattlesnakes, mountain lions, bob cats, bears and lots and lots of scorpions (and those were inside the house)...I don't know how I escaped my parents house alive.
    hahahaha!!
Now that I have my own place, I pay big money for an exterminator to come regularly - I even have a spray system installed inside the walls of my house. I've been there over a year and haven't once seen a spider inside!

  7. There would be no question in my mind - I would have already put the for sale sign in the yard and rented an apartment.

  11. My first stop by...

This post made me laugh. Not the rattlesnake part but the part where you said that you may have to move. We live in rattlesnake country and just yesterday I was walking with my girlfriend (our morning routine) and we saw a dead king snake in the road.

That was it! She pretty much had her kitchen, master bedroom and garage all packed up.

    Blessings, Joanne
